You should be able to...

• Independently create substantial functionality
• Masterfully develop using a scripting language (Python preferred, Ruby/JS/PHP acceptable)
• Create structurally sound, extensible object-oriented designs
• Develop productively in a Linux/Unix environment
• Efficiently create interactive interfaces using HTML, CSS, and Javascript
• Design and understand normalized database schemas
• Leverage features of a web frameworks (e.g. Django, Rails, Node, Laravel, etc)

You should have...

• BS/MS in computer science or a related field (relevant experience accepted as substitute)
• Proven experience independently building substantial functionality
• 2+ years of experience in software development (experience need not be post-graduation)
• Good taste with respect to code quality
• Ideally, experience in creating and consuming RESTful APIs
• Ideally, experience with front-end frameworks such as Backbone, Angular, Meteor, or Ember
